HUNTS COMMON

From the common

Freddie looking at my herbs

With Grandad's hat on. Pale lawn, cut too short I reckon, he wouldn't listen ha ha. Like my poppies?

I am standing in the common looking at our terrace of cottages. Ours was built end of 1780 and the first three on the left are the oldest. Ours is the second one with the turquoise door.

We are having a street party 3rd July for all the neighbours to get to know each other and discuss stuff. Don't ask. It will be fun anyway.

We have horses trotting past our house most mornings, no traffic as it is a dead end - to a farm.

The common is a newish thing and the trees have been planted by residents so we m

SISTERS, SISTERS

JO'S BILLY, DAVID AND CRISTINA SITTING ON MUM'S NEW SOFA. MY, HAVEN'T THEY GROWN UP. BOTH BOYS START AT CHICHESTER COLLEGE IN SEPTEMBER. CRISTINA IS THINKING OF DOING A MASSAGE COURSE - OH YEAH!

'Big' Jo visits

At the garden center having lunch

Freddie watching fish and having lunch

Jo in our spare room, library, what ever - with the attic stairs down. Poor thing!

I didn't take many pics of her as I was down in Shoreham. But here are a couple.

For those of you not knowing, BIG JO is only called that cos at some time she was bigger, like when she was 13 and LITTLE JO was 8 - so now you know. But now of course LITTLE JO is taller than BIG JO -----

Curry Night

When John come to England an 'Indian' is a must. We found a super one with a menu for under ten pounds each with four courses or should I say dishes.

Nice evening and lots of food.

STOCKTON HOUSE SPORTS DAY

FACE PAINTING - PUSSY CAT BELLA

PICNIC IN THE GROUNDS OF STOCKTON HOUSE SCHOOL. BECKY, TABITHA AND BRIAN
A PENSIVE TABITHA

THE ONE ON THE LEFT - ISABELLA - SHE WON!!!!

Sports day and a picnic afterwards. Isabella won her race, you can see her starting to go - the one on the far left. Damien didn't win the fathers' race nor did Becky win the mothers' race, don't think so anyway. Damien came second methinks.

After Damien spent all his pocket money on Tombola he WON a pot of jam, wine and other strange things.

Lovely picnic done by Becky - salmon sarnies, quiche, olives, cakes. Needed to run a couple of races after that.

ANOTHER LOVELY SUMMER DAY IN JUNE, CAN'T GET OVER HOW LOVELY IT IS.

Chatting in pushchairs

'' Who is that man over there Tabitha?' Freddie says
'Oh it is only Uncle John from Sweden' Freddie says to a relieved Tabitha. 'Let's eat up our buns?'

Jo visits - John flies in from Sweden and another sunny weekend

Brian, Freddie and Jo up at the Cricketers'

Brian, Freddie, Des and Jo

John on his last morning, waiting for breakfast... a fry up of course.

John and Hayley taking control of the younger members at the Hartley Wintney Fete, making our way to the pond to feed geese.

Garden open to the public - Dipley Mill

Weird bush doncha think?

Babs standing by Hayley, waiting for her cuppa, on our way.

Emily holding little brother and cousin Isabella posing nicely.

Dipley Mill

Damien and Tabitha by the stream on the way to have tea.... come on we are thirsty.

Having spent all those years in Spain, there is nothing quite like a summer in England when the sun shines and you can have a cuppa and a huge piece of chocolate cake - all for two quid. I will be back next year.

DIPLEY MILL

Cousins walking together, sweet eh?
Fink I can see a fish... Freddie finks.

What a lovely thing to do on a hot June afternoon - walk around a garden only opened to the public once a year.

About a mile from our house, in the deepest of Hampshire countryside. Gorgeous!

SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT DIPLEY MILL

DAMIEN INVITED US TO DIPLEY MILL TO SEE THE GARDENS. BRIAN WAS UNABLE TO COME AS HE WAS IN THE EAST END OF LONDON WITH DES WATCHING A BOXING MATCH - SO - HAYLEY AND EMILY AND FREDDIE CAME WITH ME.

SUCH LOVELY FLOWERS TOO. THESE OF COURSE ARE FROM THE ROSE GARDEN, ALMOST AS NICE AS MINE... LOVE THE COLOURS.

OUT OF THE KITCHEN WINDOW

OUR BITS AND PIECES FROM MENORCA SIT ON OUR KITCHEN WINDOW SILL.
